The purpose of the Faculty/Staff Fellowship Program is to educate–by immersion–selected faculty/staff about today’s broadcast media environment. This program will help them better prepare students for broadcast careers.
All high school, community college, college and university communications/journalism faculty staff.
The Fellowship is an opportunity for faculty/staff to spend three, five, ten, or an alternate number of working days in a radio or television station. During this time, the Fellow will participate in routine broadcast activities as agreed to by the General Manager, Program Director, or News Director as appropriate. At the program’s conclusion, the Fellow will complete an end-of-Fellowship report that summarizes their activities, suggestions for improvement, and how they plan to transfer what they learned to the classroom.
Upon successful completion of the Fellowship and receipt of the end-of-Fellowship report, MAB will award Fellows a stipend of $150 per day for each working day of the Fellowship.
