Job Title: Multimedia Designer

Salary Estimate: $40,000

Mississippi Public Broadcasting is committed to delivering quality programming and engaging

content that informs, educates, and inspires our community. We are seeking a dynamic and

experienced designer to create digital engagement across platforms and elevate our brand in

an evolving media landscape. Candidates should have solid, proven experience and competency

in developing graphics, videos, photography, social media messages and other content for

myriad digital platforms.

Position Overview: The Multimedia Designer will work with the Communications team

crafting compelling graphics, video, and ensuring consistent promotion across all

platforms. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of industry trends, a

passion for creativity, design aesthetic, and be highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

 Designing social media and web content

 Editing short form and long form video for use across social and web platforms

 Monitoring YouTube and other platforms for consistency

 Find new and creative ways to engage MPB’s online audience

 Identify opportunities for improving content and engagement

 Assist Digital Media Strategist with planning and implementation of digital content

 Assist Art Department Manager with web design, social design, and other

graphics

 Promote and protect MPB brand

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Media, or related field

 2-3 Years of experience in graphic design or a multimedia field

 Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and emerging trends in

the media landscape

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling

 Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 Office Suite

 Ability to work in fast-paced environment

 Knowledge of Sprout Social, or other social scheduling platforms
